Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Cream them together until smooth and fluffy. Gradually add sugar and mix until well blended, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gently mix in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
- Evenly spread a layer of jam over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden at the edges.
- Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
