- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or dried)
- 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 cup sautéed onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shiitake or cremini mushrooms, chopped
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)
- 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms in melted butter or olive oil until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ground turkey, sautéed aromatics, cranberries, breadcrumbs, fresh herbs, beaten egg, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 1-2 inch balls.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden.
- Cool slightly before serving, garnished with herbs if desired.
Notes
For best texture, avoid overmixing the ingredients. These can be made ahead and frozen for easy reheating.
