Description

Delicious bite-sized stuffing balls combining turkey and cranberries, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries (or dried)
  • 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 cup sautéed onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shiitake or cremini mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms in melted butter or olive oil until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, sautéed aromatics, cranberries, breadcrumbs, fresh herbs, beaten egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Form the mixture into 1-2 inch balls.
  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden.
  7. Cool slightly before serving, garnished with herbs if desired.

Notes

For best texture, avoid overmixing the ingredients. These can be made ahead and frozen for easy reheating.
