Description
Delightful bites of tart cranberries and creamy cheese wrapped in flaky crescent pastry, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8-ounce) can of crescent roll dough
- 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of fresh cranberries or cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Optional: a pinch of ground cinnamon for warmth
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
- If using fresh cranberries, simmer them with a touch of water until softened and bursting; let cool.
- Roll out the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Spoon about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle, add a dollop of cranberry sauce, and roll towards the pointed end.
- Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Don’t overstuff the crescents to prevent overflow during baking.
