Description

Delightful bites of tart cranberries and creamy cheese wrapped in flaky crescent pastry, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) can of crescent roll dough
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of fresh cranberries or cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Optional: a pinch of ground cinnamon for warmth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. If using fresh cranberries, simmer them with a touch of water until softened and bursting; let cool.
  4. Roll out the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Spoon about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle, add a dollop of cranberry sauce, and roll towards the pointed end.
  5. Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Don’t overstuff the crescents to prevent overflow during baking.
