- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Boil salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook the shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Add the wine: Pour in white wine and let it simmer for a couple of minutes to reduce slightly.
- Combine the pasta: Add cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, and lemon juice. Toss to combine.
- Season to taste: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Finish with parsley and grated Parmesan.
- Serve immediately: Enjoy while piping hot!
