- 1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups of pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the crust: Place the pie crust in your pie dish and crimp the edges.
- Prepare the filling: In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, spices, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the crust evenly.
- Bake on the middle rack for 15 minutes; reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes until filling is set.
- Cool on a wire rack for at least two hours before slicing.
Notes
If the crust’s edges brown too quickly, cover them with aluminum foil during baking to prevent burning.
