- 1 and 1/2 cups crushed sugar cookies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or nutmeg for a seasonal twist)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the crushed sugar cookies, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes until golden brown, then let it cool.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the eggs, mixing just until incorporated.
- Fold in the sour cream, cinnamon, and flour until blended.
- Pour the filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until the edges are set and the center jiggles slightly.
- Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool for about an hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
- Decorate with whipped cream, festive sprinkles, or chocolate drizzle before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for best results. Consider a water bath for more even cooking.
