- 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 8 oz Dark Chocolate (high-quality)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar (or brown sugar)
- 3 Large Eggs (or flax eggs for vegan)
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour (or gluten-free blend)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (or almond extract)
- 4 oz Dark Chocolate (for ganache)
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth, then remove from heat.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in the sugar and vanilla extract until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- For the ganache, chop 4 oz of dark chocolate and place it in a bowl. Heat 1/2 cup of heavy cream until just boiling, then pour it over the chocolate and stir until fully combined and glossy.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread half of the ganache over it, then pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the ganache. Swirl with a skewer for a marbled effect.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out and cutting into squares.
Notes
For best results, do not overbake the brownies to maintain their gooey texture. Serve warm with ice cream for an extra indulgence.
