Delightful cookies combining the rich flavors of chocolate chips and crunchy Oreo pieces for a chewy treat that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos (about 10 cookies)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg and egg yolk, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then gradually incorporate into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed Oreos.
  6. Scoop about two tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden and the centers look underbaked.
  8. Let cool on the baking pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra-chewy cookies, chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking.
