- 3 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup sharp and mild cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 lb smoked beef sausage, sliced
- 2 tbsp ranch seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter, melted (or olive oil)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and peel (if desired) your potatoes. Cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the smoked beef sausage until browned and crispy. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the potatoes with melted butter, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss until well-coated.
- Fold in the cooked sausage gently.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve.
Notes
For additional flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or bell peppers. Ensure potatoes are seasoned well for the best taste.
