Description

A comforting and creamy gratin made with brussels sprouts and a blend of cheeses, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Trim and halve each Brussels sprout.
  3. Sauté the garlic in butter over medium heat until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the halved sprouts to the skillet and sauté until they start to get tender and a bit browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Prepare the cheese sauce by warming the heavy cream in a small saucepan, then stir in the shredded Gruyère and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
  6. Combine the sprouts and cheese sauce in a baking dish.
  7. Top with breadcrumbs, if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is bubbling and golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
