- 1 box yellow or butter cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and prepare your baking pan.
- Mix cake batter according to instructions, pour into the pan, and bake until done.
- Poke holes in the cake while warm and prepare the praline sauce.
- Melt butter, mix in brown sugar, and add cream to create the praline sauce with pecans and vanilla.
- Pour the warm sauce over the cake, chill for at least two hours, and serve with whipped cream and extra pecans.
Notes
Toast pecans right before use; adjust sauce thickness with cream if needed.
