Description

A comforting dish featuring succulent shrimp and vibrant broccoli enveloped in a rich Alfredo sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pasta of your choice for serving
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the broccoli and blanch for about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside in an ice bath.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with nutmeg.
  5. Return the shrimp and blanched broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine, letting the flavors meld for a few minutes.
  6. Serve over freshly cooked pasta and garnish with additional Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
