Description

A luscious Black Forest Cheesecake with layers of creamy cheese, tart cherries, and a rich chocolate crust, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (15 oz) Chocolate Oreos, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted Butter, melted
  • 16 oz Full-fat Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Sweet Cherries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by crushing the Chocolate Oreos in a food processor and mixing with melted butter. Press into the bottom of a springform pan and pre-bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes. Cool.
  2. Mix the filling by beating cream cheese until smooth, then adding sugar, sour cream, eggs, and cocoa powder. Blend until creamy.
  3. Layer half of the cheesecake batter over the crust, add half of the cherries, and then pour the remaining batter on top. Gently press in leftover cherries.
  4. Bake in a preheated water bath at 325°F (160°C) for 60-70 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight. Decorate with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for best mixing results. Don’t skip the water bath for a creamy texture.
