Description
A comforting, easy-to-make beer bread that combines savory flavors and a delightful texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup beer of your choice
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and optional sugar.
- Pour in the beer and gently stir until the mixture forms a shaggy dough.
- Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and transfer the dough into it, smoothing the top.
- Bake in the oven for 45-55 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Notes
Don’t overmix the dough to prevent a tough loaf. Use a beer you enjoy for the best flavor.
