- 4 Egg Whites
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 cup Mixed Berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, drawing a circle about 8 inches wide.
- Whip the egg whites in a clean bowl until soft peaks form.
- Add sugar gradually, one tablespoon at a time, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
- Incorporate the vinegar and cornstarch, folding gently until combined.
- Shape the meringue within the drawn circle, creating a slight well in the center.
- Bake for 1 hour; turn off the oven and let it cool inside.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and pile it in the center of the meringue.
- Top with mixed berries and optionally drizzle with honey or berry coulis.
Notes
Serve immediately after assembling to prevent the meringue from becoming soggy. Pair with Prosecco or herbal tea.
