Description
A delightful pavlova featuring seasonal fruits and flavors that celebrate the essence of fall.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Seasonal fruits: apples, pears, cranberries, pomegranate seeds
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
- Nuts (optional): candied pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, drawing a circle about 9 inches in diameter as a guide.
- In a clean bowl, whip the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to whip until stiff, glossy peaks form.
- Gently fold in the cornstarch and vinegar (or lemon juice) until just combined.
- Spread the meringue in the circle, creating a slight dip in the middle.
- Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, then turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool completely inside.
- While cooling, whip the cream and prepare the fruits and toppings.
- Once cooled, top the pavlova with whipped cream and arrange seasonal fruits. Drizzle with caramel and sprinkle nuts if using.
- Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
Notes
Make sure the eggs are at room temperature for better volume. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
