These air fryer apple fritters are a healthier twist on a classic, featuring spiced apples encased in soft, fluffy dough and drizzled with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples: Toss diced apples in cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  2. Make the batter: Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; whisk wet ingredients in another; combine and fold in apples.
  3. Shape the fritters: Drop spoonfuls of batter on a parchment tray, leaving space between each.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Air fry fritters: Spray with cooking spray, place in air fryer in a single layer, and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Make the glaze: Whisk powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Drizzle glaze on cooled fritters and serve warm.
