This garlic bread lasagna recipe is the ultimate comfort food mashup, crispy, buttery garlic bread meets gooey cheese and hearty marinara layers.
Ingredients
1 loaf Italian bread
½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ pound ground beef
2 cups (514 g) marinara sauce, divided
1 cup (113 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar, shredded, divided
parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Mix softened butter with garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and parmesan.
3. Spread butter mixture over bread slices and toast lightly in oven.
4. Brown ground beef in a skillet; stir in 1 cup of marinara sauce and simmer.
5. Layer garlic bread slices in baking dish.
6. Top with half the beef mixture and half the cheese blend.
7. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
8. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes.
9. Remove foil and bake 10–12 minutes more, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
10. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and garnish with parsley.
Notes
Use crusty bread like Italian or sourdough for best texture.
Make ahead by assembling the night before and refrigerating.
