Ingredients
4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
4. In another bowl, melt the butter. Add flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, milk, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until smooth.
5. Pour the batter over the peaches (do not stir).
6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
