Description

Apple Bread is a cozy, sweet, and moist quick bread loaded with fresh apples, warm spices, and optional nuts. It’s easy to make and perfect for breakfast, snacking, or gifting any time of year.


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups peeled and diced apples

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

4. Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

6. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if you choose to use them.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

8. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use sweet, crisp apples like Honeycrisp or Fuji for the best flavor.

Add a splash of apple juice or applesauce for extra moisture.

Top with a cinnamon-sugar sprinkle before baking for a crunchy crust.

Wrap tightly and freeze for up to 3 months for long-term storage.
